She has been groomed and nurtured by several scholars and stalwarts, making her knowledge not only authentic but also uniquely enriched with wisdom of generations.
She is a disciple of Padma Shri Awardee Vidwan Shri Rudrapatnam Thyagarajan, a doyen of the Carnatic music world and eldest of the Rudrapatnam brothers. Shri Rudrapatnam Thyagarajan is a 5th generation student lineage of Saint Thyagarajar himself.




Vidushi Smt. Ramya Praveen hails from a musically rich and deeply traditional lineage. She began learning music at the age of three. From a very tender age, she displayed an innate sensitivity to music, responding to its nuances with deep emotion and understanding. Recognizing her uncanny ability to appreciate and absorb music, her parents encouraged her musical pursuits.

Smt Ramya began her training under her maternal aunt, Vidushi Smt. Parimala Nagendra Rao and continued her learning under esteemed stalwarts Ganakalabhushana Vidwan Sri R. K. Padmanabha and Vidushi Smt. Kalavathi Avadhoot. Her musical journey has been further strengthened by the philosophical insights of Dr. Vyasanakere Prabhanjanachar and Sri Anandateerthachar Pagadal.

Music has been a central part of Vidushi Smt. Ramya's life since a very young age. After a brief time in the corporate world, she decided to give it up and dedicated herself to music. Her parents relentlessly supported her interest in music and her every achievement was recognized and celebrated. Her husband Sri. Praveen Prasanna is an IT professional and supports all her endeavors. He and his family have stood by her as her strength in her musical journey. She is blessed with a son, Master Saathvik P Rao, a Hindustani vocalist under the guidance of Pandit Jayateerth Mevundi.
TIRUMALA TIRUPATI DEVASTHANAMS

Vidushi Smt. Ramya Praveen has been associated with the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams and has participated in key cultural events such as Sahasra Deepalankara Seva, Brahmotsavams and many more. She has also contributed to Dasa Sahitya projects and rendered solo renditions for several CD releases.

Under the mentorship of Dr. Vyasanakere Prabhanjanacharya in Bangalore, Vidushi Smt. Ramya has worked on tuning classical compositions such as Hari Bhakta Saara and Dwaadasha Stotra, released in Madhwateertha Samsthanam. She has also contributed to CD Projects for Vyasaraj Math, Sosale.
With a modern outlook, Smt. Ramya Praveen has taken music beyond conventional boundaries, embracing innovation while preserving its timeless essence.
